Analytical Model for the Prediction of Performance of a Solar Driven Diffusion Absorption Cooling System

In contrast to standard vapor compression cooling systems, diffusion absorption refrigeration (DAR) systems are heat-driven and contain no moving parts. Solar can extract heat from a chamber without electricity, enabling food medicine be cooled in remote places where there is high solar radiation with unavailable or unreliable electricity. This work aims model the performance of solar-driven DAR system an evacuated tubes collector. The inputs were local hourly ambient temperature irradiance for time June August Ashdod, Israel. Also, collector data, ammonia concentration solution, evaporator geometry considered. results showed that as generator input increased rapidly capacity was kept almost constant given area. resulted reduction COP values at peak hour. An increase area had more impact on applied not significant growth capacity, thus, authors concluded optimal it advised operate lower areas.
